FLEET Playtest 2 - Out now!


Playtest 2 for FLEET is out now! It includes a number of additions and upgrades, almost everything eneded up being tweaked in some way!

Here is a quick rundown of some of the changes:

  • Updated art assets for enemies, fleet ships and player ship
  • Asteroids generation has been tweaked
  • Asteroids can now be destroyed, though the player ship cannot directly target them
  • Updated physics code to increase performance and make things more consistent across different setups
  • Crashing into enemy ships currently transfers more momentum than before
  • Tweaked colors on some UI elements
  • New larger Elite enemies
  • New Enemy: Mine Throwers
  • New faster base enemy has a chance of showing up
  • New Ability: Barrage
  • New Ability: Rush
  • Many fleet ships have been tweaked / balanced
  • Player starts with 50 hull
  • Doubled repair cost
  • Enemy spawning tweaks (a larger variation in the spawn angle to group them a little less)
  • Fleet ships upgrade costs increased (4000/8000)
  • Tweaked spawning of super and elite enemies to be based on army size and remaining (they spawn quicker as the army gets destroyed)
  • Mouse cursor is now confined to window
  • Fixed an issue that would sometimes show a negative number for the bot swarm army
  • Can now have more than 4 abilities
  • Enemy explosion radius and clumping distances have been tweaked
  • Elites can launch homing projectiles
  • Added black holes
  • Destroying elite enemies now grants a charge
  • Improved off-screen indicator for Elite ships
